Will & Dave storm the field!

For Will's birthday, he and Dave went to the Oregon State University last night decked in orange to watch the football game at Reser Stadium in Corvalis, OR. They came 'home' horse from cheering for the underdogs - OSU Beavers - who won a commanding surprise victory beating the number one team USC [University of Southern California]. Good times were had by all [Beaver fans, that is!]

The game Dave and Will saw is all over the news here as such a big upset! How great you were there, Jonah boys!!! Tomorrow is the big party for Zach's 80th at Megan and Paul's so I'll get to see the old place done up to the hilt. Annie has RSVPed "No" and I can't blame her,not any invited in her age bracket.
Lots of love all 'round,
Mom/El/Grandma El

I've been following your trip and it looks like a grand time is being had by all. Did you guy's really storm the field? How did you get tickets? I watched that game on t.v. and was rooting for Oregon as well.I saw the picture from the Gorge but I couldn't see any whitecaps on the river. Looks like you were on Dog Mt. or maybe Wind Mt.Both are beautiful hikes. You all know how I feel about the Gorge. I'm looking forward to your visit to Utah and am excited about The Great Basin outing. The Lehman caves there are awesome.I hope the weather is still good. Drive safely and don't forget to smell the roses (Rhododendrons)in Oregon.See you soon and happy B day Will. Tom W

You look like you're all having just the BESTEST time! Keep going but mend your way down to Tucson. Arch and I are back from Europe on the 15th, your goodies are safe and sound here...will be fun to have you all with us. Write when you can but be sure and continue to enjoy! Amazing news that Oregon beat USC....as a fellow Pac 10 college, UA was stunned but extatic as well!
