Camping our way around Mexico City, through craft-making region of Patzcuaro, we'll head to Oaxaca, where we've rented a house for a week.

We will leave the van in Oaxaca & take bus to Puebla & Mexico City airport and then fly to Honduras for a few weeks to join volunteers from Shelburne-Charlotte working with the Rotary sponsored Hands-to-Honduras project.

Flying back to Mexico City, we've arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport and bring us to Casa Cranfill, our accommodations. We’ll spend 3 days exploring the museums and sights of the giant city.

We'll take a bus back to Oaxaca, pick up Philomena and resume traveling in the van toward the Yuctan Pennisula. My sister Carrie will meet us there during February school vacation for some exploring of the Myan ruins in the area.
By March we'll start making our way north along the Gulf Coast of Mexico. We plan to cross the USA/Mexican border at Brownsville, Texas sometime in mid-March.

Hello Shelburne Family,
I have been following your blog, and I will be in Honduras 1/31 - 2/7. I really hope to meet you all! Thanks for all of the information you have been sharing, I have enjoyed sharing it with my 2 young children. Perhaps we will do something similar in the future (we already homeschool).
