Onward to Appalachia...

After a wonderful, relaxing week in Burgin, Kentucky on my Aunt Mary and Uncle Jim's farm; we said our farewells to all. Packing freshly laundered clothes into the well stocked van; we force ourselves into Philomena and head-out refreshed and well-rested... ready (almost) to tackle the last few weeks on-the-road. Today we'll take in the Appalachian Museum and poke around Borea, Kentucky before heading east into the Daniel Boone National Forest to find a camp spot for the night. It sure was nice sleeping in beds this last week on the Baxter Farm! How blessed we are to have family who will put us up (and put up with us) for our extended visits.

Glad you were able to force yourselves back in Philomina for the final days of travel - that brings you all the nearer to Boonton. Have been have a wonderful time with yet more grand-
children having Carrie and her boys here visiting for the weekend. They did the wildflower trail on the Torne, visited Sam and her tribe and had a hot game of whiffle ball with the next door neighbors. Henry has improved enormously (really cute) and no more "NO" We've enjoyed them all.
Hope these final days are all good ones.
Love, Mom/El/Grandma
