French Quarter, New Orleans

In addition to the black cultural tour of Taylor Park, we did take in some of the more traditional tourist spots of New Orleans, most notably: The French Quarter, with its wrought iron porches (some drapped with beads), resturaunts, and tourists shops.

The thing I remember most about the French Quarter were the wonderful oysters any way you wanted them, but especially raw. And there was a fancy lady who was swinging out from a second story window over the street, not to mention the terrific music. I loved it all.
Talked with Aunt Mary this a.m. and she's looking forward to our visit, as am I. Can't wait
Much love, Mom/El/Grandma
