Tourist map in hand, Kim and I started hopping on local buses which only cost 4.5 pesos (about .35) and half that for kids. Kim has a keen memory for places. As we bounce and jostle along, often without a clue where the bus will take us, I urge her to “Remember everything you see.” Within a few days, the girls have the city more or less figured out. Its wonderful tapestry of colorful markets, historic buildings, cafes, museums and winding cobblestone alleys are ours to discover.
