Home for the Holidays!

We've rented a charming 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath house in Guanujuato, Mexico: a colonial hill about 200 miles north of Mexico City. This amazing town, which is a world heritage site, is built into several hillsides connected by a series tunnels. We first heard about it from a deck hand on the Alaskan ferries who had gone to school here for a year. He said "You MUST go to Guanujuato and so... months later...here we are settling in for the holidays. It was quite an adventure getting here (we ended up hiring two young boys to help us find the way!) All's well that ends well! The house sits up on a hill, the last photo in this series of three was taken from the rooftop!

Your house looks WONDERFUL! The view is spectacular, interior charming. What a find! Your Christmas should be a very good one in such surroundings. It's great being in touch again. I'll look forward to more on your blog and some skyp conversations. Miss you and love you, Mom/El/Grandma
