Christmas Among the Stalls

First, we walked the entire kilometer of stalls, checking out the wares as vendors set up for the morning. A blind man in Christmas pajamas clanks a tin cup, calling, “Feliz Navidad, Feliz Navidad, Feliz Navidad, FN…FN…Fn…fn…” Thinking perhaps he is Saint Nicolas himself, we plunk an appropriate amount of pesos in his cup as we pass by. Kim selects the gift for her dad and asks, “Cuanto questo?” and make the purchase all by herself (shhh… it’s a surprise and Dave maybe reading this!). The vendor is clearly pleased by her attempt at speaking Spanish, and so am I!
