We enjoyed catching up with old travel companions John Beam and Laurie Wigham in San Francisco and meeting their lovely daughter Alexandra. Despite living in a house under construction, Laurie prepared a delicous fresh meal (on a school night, no less!) and the whole family opened their home and hearts to us weary travelers.
