The Salmon are Running

Or, perhaps more accurately, jumping. Moving from the salty sea to the freshwater of their birth (hatching) to spawn and then die. We camped by many a "salmon stream" were all life (human, bear, bird and more) feast on this cycle of salmon life. Without this bounty of fall food few would survive the coming winter.

Great catching up with all your doings! Loved talking with Dave and hearing about Alfred Brooks! Got home from LBI today and raced to see the latest on your blog. The pictures are wonderful! Look forward to the next one already. Keep well and happy travels (and studies now, I presume).
